29, going on ?

This is not cool! As soon as I get comfortable with my age...I get older...some kind of push-pull game going on here...

I still can't believe it. I am 29, already? Seems like yesterday me flying kites all afternoon in primary school, playing cricket with hockey stick in school recess in highschool , taking Saturday exams in Torane Sir's class, eating Mamata kachori...the subodh/swadhyay classes...dabeli in Kothrud..Sinhagadh....those trips in engineering days to konkan...cracking tests....getting first job in Telco....GRE verbal nightmare...CU-Boulder for MS...California...now PhD...hiking..biking...running...TA...

oh man! phew! Time is flying. Things haven't come along easily. Not so easy childhood...tough start in highschool....bad performance in 12th....losing job after MS and returning to India....and then PhD....May be some things did come along easily and I am forgetting....I am sure I overlooked some opportunities on the way too...

At every time, there was some hope..many times unfounded...now I have realized...if you hang in there...you will get success...patience is virtue...and hope is the driving force...

Getting old is not easy...it is not tough also...you have no choice...just let it go...
...live your life every moment...that is only way you will not regret getting old....

I'll try....Meanwhile...let's get busy living...

||Shree Ganeshay Namaha||

This is 5th year of celebration of Ganeshotsav here in Boulder. Although I was not there in 2001 to begin this great tradition, for last four years it has been a great pleasure to actively participate. Last two years, it has been in Abhijit's and my apartment and this year my apartment as Abhijit has moved to Boston. Ganeshotsav has created some unforgettable memories. This is one part I will definitely miss when I graduate and move on.
Aaraties, prasad, wisrajan, bhel and all that....

Aaj mein upar

Aaj mein upar
Asaman niche
Aaj mein aage
Jamana hai peechhe

Wo sikandar hi dosato
Kehelata hai
Hari bazi ko jeetana
jise aata hai

Hope is a good thing. May be the best of the things. And no good thing ever dies!
